Did you know that April is Financial Literacy Month? Looking for something to do that’s fun and educational at the same time? Check out some of these Web sites:
1) StandUp for Financial Literacy. This campaign involves a series of events across the country. The goal is to get over 100,000 people to go into schools and teach financial literacy to students. Check out their Web site for financial education related news and events.
2) Money XLive financial education event. The MTV style event hosted by celebrities promotes financial education and independence to young people. Check out their Web site to see if an event is happening near you.
3) Find grassroots financial literacy campaigns near you or organize your own. Check out the You Can Make a Difference section of our site to find resources on how to get started. You can also use the resources from our Educate Yourself section and share them with your family, friends and neighbors; help teach them about the importance of financial literacy in their everyday lives.
