There it was, a single sentence that articulated one of the biggest challenges in financial planning, five words that encapsulated what I’ve spent a career trying to define and resolve.
Our team of planners was sitting around the conference room table discussing the day’s events and reviewing what went well, what we could have done better, what lessons to learn or research to gather for the future. Normally the conversations are insightful, but this one sentence stopped us all in our tracks and became a defining moment for us as a team and as a company.
